Wrinkles

Over time, wrinkles are formed naturally in the skin. At some point, everyone has wrinkles. Wrinkles form as skin ages and its underlying structure begins to deteriorate. Environmental factors – like sun exposure – and personal habits such as smoking, can accelerate this process and contribute to the formation of wrinkles. Also facial expressions cause wrinkles and deeper lines such as smile and forehead.

Causes of Wrinkles

Inevitably, as the skin ages, wrinkles are formed. Wrinkles are proof that the skin has lost elasticity due to age, exposure to wind and sun, unhealthy diet, smoking, or any combination of these factors. Damage from the sun, in particular, causes premature wrinkles. The sun’s ultraviolet rays can penetrate the skin and damage the collagen and other underlying support structures.

Prevention of wrinkles

The best way to prevent premature wrinkles is to maintain good skin health. This means proper nourishment, keeping the skin clean and moisturized, and avoid anything that may damage, such as smoking and sun exposure. Good nutrition is essential for maintaining healthy skin. Good skin health requires a balanced diet that includes plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants.

Hygiene and hydration are also key to maintaining healthy, youthful skin. If the skin is clean and well moisturized, will maintain flexibility and avoid wrinkles. Dirty skin is more vulnerable to infection and irritation. Excessive use of cosmetics and similar products can damage the skin and aggravate conditions such as rashes, infections and acne.

There are many patterns of behavior that are associated with premature wrinkles. Which can be avoided more easily is smoking. Smoking can affect the health of the skin and cause damage and infection. When a person smokes, the blood vessels constrict. This restricts blood flow to the extremities and towards the skin. Because blood carries oxygen and nutrients to the skin, smoking deprives the skin of the chemicals you need. Environmental pollutants such as toxic gas emissions from cars have a similar effect. Wrinkles can also be the result of exposure to sun, wind and other environmental conditions. The best options to address these risks are regular moisture, the daily application of sunscreen and suitable clothing choice.
